Smoothies and Meal Blends

Name Recipe
Strawberry/Banana Smoothie Blend together:
1 banana
1 6-8 oz container strawberry yogurt
1 small can pineapple juice
Berry Yummy Blend together:
1 banana
1 cup cranberry juice
1 cup fresh blueberries
4-6 oz vanilla yogurt or strawberry sorbet
Strain before drinking
Pear-fect Blend together:
1 can pears (cold and not drained)
6-8 oz peach yogurt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
dash ginger
Strain before drinking
Orange Wow Blend together:
1 cup milk
1 large scoop orange sherbert
1 packet Vanilla Instant Breakfast
1/2 cup ice cubes
Peanut Butter Delight Blend together:
1 banana
2 big plops of peanut butter
6-8 ounces of vanilla yogurt
1 Tablesppon of chocolate syrup
Blend until proper consistency. May thin out with more yogurt.
Ellen's Specialty Blend together:
1 banana
8 ounces of vanilla yogurt
6 ounces of chocolate soy milk
Mexican Dinner Blend together:
1 can refried beans (with no add-ins)
1/2 jar mild/medium cheese whiz
1/2 can enchilada sauce
Optional: a plop of sour cream
Warm in microwave for about 40 seconds. This makes two servings and also makes a great dip with nacho chips, if you're willing to share!
Banana Cream Pie (from Amy) Blend together:
1 banana cream pie pudding cup
1 large graham cracker, broken up
1-2 cups of milk
Optional: Add fresh bananas or chocolate whey protein powder
Blend and enjoy for dessert!
Strawberry Cheesecake Shake (from Brian B.) Blend together:
2 cups vanilla pudding
2 large scoops of strawberry cheesecake ice cream
whole milk (1/2 cup?)
Just blend until proper consistency. Enjoy!

- Tastes like steak and potatoes

Hearty Potato Soup

Requires a very good blender:
(1) cook 2 strips bacon til crispy, then blend into a dust
(2) boil: 2 medium peeled potatoes, 1/2 onion, 1/4 tsp minced garlic, and seasoning (salt, pepper) to taste in 1 cup chicken broth until everything is soft
(3) Add potato mixture to bacon in blender; blend until liquid
Broccoli Soup

Requires a very good blender:
(1) boil some broccoli and onion in chicken broth until soft
(2) blend until liquid
(3) add seasonings to taste; try some cumin
Mashed Potatoes Plus (from Geoffrey R.) Blend together:
mashed potatoes
chicken or hamburger (optional)
Just blend until proper consistency.
Cream of Wheat & Bananas (from Desiree) Blend together:
cooked cream of wheat
milk for thinning
Blend until proper consistency.
